Hosted by Anne Mehus Grothe

Dear quiltingfriends, new and not so new.
In 2002 I want to have a Harry Potter swap. Some of the girls from my quiltingbee are allready in, and now you can be with us, too.
Source: the four first books of Harry Potter.
1. Only use fabrics of good quilting quality, 100 % cotton.
Do wash and iron the fabric before you use it. If you wish you can use other fabrics for a spesial effect in your blocks.
2.You participate with 4.40 blocks. If you like you can make a serie of 4 and 4 similar blocks; the same febrics, motifs etc. The blocks are to measure 10,5 X 10,5 inch.
3.Remember that your fantasy is a muscle, and the more you use it , the better it gets! So you draw patterns for the blocks yourself, but you can look at links to get idees.
4.I want every participant to get satisfied with this swap and I will return blocks that are badly sewn or have the wrong size. The girls in my quoiltingbee will do this job, and they will look at my blocks the same way they lokk at your
blocks!
5.Partcipants in Norway will enclose an envelope with their name and adress written on
it, and stamps on the envelope.
6.Participants outside Norway will enclose an envelope with their name and adress written on the envelope, and instead of stamps they will also enclose
fabrics.
4-15 blocks: 1 fabric, 12 inch high and in all width of the fabric,
16-25 blocks; 2 fabrics, 12 inch high and in all width of the fabrics.
26-35 blocks; 3 fabrics , 12 inch high and in all the width of the fabrics.
36-40 blocks; 4 fabrics 12 inch high and in all the width of the
fabrics.
7. All participants must mark their blocks with their name , email-adresse and which book they took the motif from, ie; The Sorting Hat B 1 and 2.
The information should be on a piese of paper and sewn on the blocks with few stitch.
Do remember the words said by Albus Dumbledore: "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
Last date for sending an email on your participation: 28th
of February 2002.
Due date for sending the blocks; 11th of April 2002.
You will get my snailadress when you participate.
Also take a look at the Harry Potter contest.
