- Stack the squares up and, using stickers or paper and pins, write a number in the upper left
hand corner of each, numbering them from 1 to 4.
Number 1 is on top with number 4 at the bottom.
- Bring your stack to the cutting mat, place
your rule as shown in the figure and make a cut
through the stack.
- From the numbered stack of pieces, take the
bottom piece and bring it to the top of that
same stack.
- Sew the two top pieces together, then the next
two, until they all four are sewn together. If
the pieces don't mach perfectly, that's ok.
- Press and restack with the numbers in the same
corner, and with number 1 at the top and number
4 at the bottom of the stack.
- For the second cut, place your ruler as shown
in the figure and cut through the stack.
- From the numbered stack of pieces, take two
pieces from the bottom (number 3 and 4) and
bring them to the top of that same stack.
- Sew in pairs again.
- Press and restack again with the numbers in the
same corner, and with number 1 at the top and number
4 at the bottom of the stack. Put the blocks away.
- Do the same two more times with 4 blue squares
each time, and then wait for the next clue.
