For the second clue you’ll need the pieces you’ve put aside earlier:

9. You
will need

Arrange the pieces as shown (fig. 5) and sew the block together. |

11. Make one more block like this You
should now have 2 blocks as shown in fig. 5.

Arrange the pieces as shown (fig. 6) and sew the block together. |

you should have 2 blocks as shown in fig. 6. |

15. You
will need 2 beige squares 2 ½”x 2 ½”. |

16. Use
a pencil and draw a circle with a 1 ½” i diameter (fig.7) on the
right side of the fabric. |

Before you cut these circles out, you have to decide which method for
appliqué you would like to use. Use
a pair of scissors and cut the circles out, - and add seam allowance
if your appliqué method asks for that.

| 18. Appliqué 1 circle onto each of the 2 blocks from nr. 14 (fig. 8). |
